Job Description & Overview

We are seeking an experienced Resort Manager to join our executive leadership team in Phuket. Acting as deputy to the General Manager, this position carries full property responsibility during the GM's absence while maintaining direct operational oversight of Food & Beverage, Rooms Division, Engineering, Security, and Spa/Wellness.
In addition to day-to-day operations, this role requires strong commercial acumen and executive presentation skills. The successful candidate will be responsible for structuring and presenting strategic projects, business cases, and P&L updates directly to resort ownership.

Key Responsibilities
• GM Deputization: Assume full property authority when the General Manager is off-property; act as the primary operational escalation point for HODs, guests, and owners.
• Food & Beverage Management: Provide hands-on leadership for all F&B outlets. Drive revenue performance, implement cost controls, and maintain strict hygiene protocols (HACCP/FSMS) alongside the Executive Chef.
• Ownership Presentation & Strategic Reporting: Prepare and deliver clear, structured business proposals, capital expenditure projects, and financial performance reports directly to ownership and senior leadership.
• Operations Oversight: Coordinate across Rooms Division, Security, Engineering, and Wellness to maintain high property standards, guest satisfaction, and operational efficiency.
• Financial Performance: Monitor P&L statements, manage labor and controllable expenses, and execute actionable strategies to maximize property profitability.
• Quality & Guest Relations: Oversee standard operating procedures (SOPs), conduct daily resort inspections, and personally handle VIP guest relations and escalated feedback.
• People & HR Leadership: Support HOD recruitment, conduct performance reviews, drive staff training programs, and ensure compliance with local Thai labor standards and resort policies.

Qualifications & Candidate Profile

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Hotel/Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Experience: Minimum 6 years of progressive operational leadership in hotels or resorts, including prior experience deputizing for a General Manager (e.g., EAM, Resident Manager, or Resort Manager).
• F&B Background: Strong background in multi-outlet F&B operations paired with practical working knowledge of Rooms Division.
• Regional Experience: Resort experience in Asia is required; direct operational experience in Thailand is strongly preferred.
• Key Skills:
o Demonstrated capability to present business cases and financial updates to ownership.
o Strong P&L management, budgeting, and cost-control discipline.
o Knowledge of local Thai hotel laws, safety protocols, and licensing requirements.
o Proficiency in PMS software and MS Office.
• Languages: Excellent command of written and spoken English. Proficiency in Thai is a strong advantage.
