Position : Human Resources Manager
This is a full-time on-site role for a Human Resources Manager at KAIA Resort located in Ko Phangan (Pre-Opening). The Human Resources Manager will be responsible for overseeing recruitment, training, performance management, employee relations, and compliance with employment laws. Additionally, they will manage HR policies and procedures to ensure a positive work environment for all employees.
Pre-Opening Phase
• Implements and adapts corporate HR policies and procedures to the specific context of the resort, ensuring compliance with local labour laws and regulations.
• Executes the corporate-provided recruitment strategy, including sourcing candidates, conducting interviews, and managing the hiring process for all pre-opening positions.
• Coordinates with corporate HR on the implementation of the pre-opening training plan, ensuring all staff receive the necessary training on resort-specific procedures, customer service standards, and brand values.
• Sets up and maintains HR systems for employee data management, payroll, benefits administration, and performance tracking, in accordance with corporate guidelines.
• Manages the pre-opening HR budget, tracking expenses and reporting variances to corporate HR and the Resort Manager.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in HR Management or related field.
• Experience:
o 5-years previous experience in HR field required
o Pre-opening experience is a strong advantage.
o Min 2-years previous experience in luxury hotel or 5 stars hotel
• Skills:
o Excellent computer and English communication skill
o Ability to persuade higher management level
o Excellent problem-solving skills
o Ability to find solutions to issues raised
o Ability to convey difficult information
o Excellent leadership qualities
o Adaptability
o Communication skill (Thai language)
• Personal Attributes:
o Possess a combination of emotional intelligence, strong communication with strong skill in active & deep listening and cultural sensitivity, along with a deep commitment to quality, integrity, and support for employees.
