The Communication Officer works with the School Manager and under supervision from the Thai Director and Chief Executive Officer. As part of the Office Staff, Communications is responsible for overseeing the activities directly related to admitting domestic and international students to the school in a timely, effective and efficient manner. The Communication Officer offers personal guidance to prospective parents, manages incoming applications and documentation, assists in the preparation and attendance of Communications Office related events, keeps class and student data updated, invites applicants for assessments, prepares regular reports for Administration and Finance departments, and performs marketing jobs.
Candidates should:
- Have bachelor’s degree
- Be suitably qualified with a specialist qualification
- Be able to work flexibly with a team of specialist office staff
- Show evidence of commitment to own learning development
- To be able to communicate effectively with parents, colleagues and outside agencies in English and Thai
- Have excellent organisational and ICT skills and awareness of the ICT role
- Experience in school admission and marketing is advantageous
The principal duties are as follows:
- Analyze the applications of prospective students based on standard admission policies.
- Interview students to understand their objectives and background.
- Provide clarifications to student’s queries in a professional manner.
- Follow-up with students for any enquiries through direct meetings, live chat, phone calls and emails.
- Advice students about the programs offered, admission procedure, eligibility and costs involved.
- Provide assistance with recruitment activities, student interviews, admission publications, and information sessions.
- Provide assistance to the students and parents to complete the enrolment forms.
- Review all the students’ applications and refer the students to financial services personnel if required.
- Inform students about the courses offered and the tuition fees.
- Arrange orientation programs, educational workshops and graduation programs for students.
- Provide support to prepare admission related presentations and to host student receptions.
- Develop innovative communication strategies, recruitment strategies and enrolment plans in coordination with senior management to attract and enrol more students.
- Participate in all recruitment events, open houses, school fairs, information sessions, exhibitions, school visits and off-campus events.
- Maintain a database of student information, telephone logs and student feedback in order to generate student reports for management whenever required.
- Support administrative tasks with translation and communication with all stakeholders
- Provide support to the SLT when needed.
- Perform marketing job
- Produce documents related to school calendars.
